So here at Whitenoise we are big fans of plain English but if something isn’t making sense or you need more information about how we treat your personal data do get in touch via the Contact Us page.
Visiting our website – we don’t do anything particularly sophisticated with your data when you visit our website. If we do in the future we will let you know. Our website analytics do tell us the browser and device you’re using, your IP address, your location, the site you came from and how long you spent on our website and which pages you visited.
Newsletter – you can sign-up to receive our latest news and reminders on ticket deadlines, show n shine times, bands booked etc. via our website. We use MailChimp to issue our e-newsletters and our sign-up forms are GDPR compliant e.g. they ask for all the right permissions from you so we can stay in touch.
From 25 May we will only email newsletter subscribers who have engaged with us in the last year and shown legitimate interest in our 2018 event, so do sign back up if you haven’t opened any of our emails for a while. We only contact you by email, not phone or text or by post. See Tickets may use these channels.
We only send a few emails each year. There’s a really useful email we send to visitors before the event to remind you of the rules, gate opening times etc… too.
We do not share your data with any third parties including our sponsors, promoters or venue owners. If this changes we will tell you.
You can easily unsubscribe from any of our emails or email firstname.lastname@example.org asking to be removed. We will do that asap.
We often collect email addresses on voting forms at our event and include a box asking your permission to add you to our newsletter. If you don’t tick that box we won’t contact you.
Tickets – we sell advance camping and day tickets online via our website. This is via a link to See Tickets. Their data protection policy is at the bottom of their home page here https://www.seetickets.com
