TOP UK GRAFFITI ARTISTS CONFIRMED
step39 has painted at VW Whitenoise each year and he’s just confirmed: “I have the amazing Brave1, who’s characters and letters have always blown me away joining me this year. He has an educator teaching style and takes a love for spray paint to a new generation. The next new face for VW Whitenoise is Gnasher. He is well known for his brilliant character work all over the UK. I’m looking forward to a summer with lots of collabs with this guy as he’s becoming a local in the not too distant future. Then we have HUSH yet another new face to this festival but an old hat at the graffiti game. He’s one of the best 3D writers around who also rocks dope characters and more traditional letterstyles as well. I have one more artist to confirm but as you can see from the artists already involved the 2013 wall will be pretty special. Whitenoise is a real fave of mine.”

OVER 36 BANDS BOOKED FOR VW WHITENOISE, THRIVING MUSICAL & MOTORING TIMES! MAIN SPONSORSHIP FROM THE VINDIS GROUP TOO
We’re back at the Norfolk Showground this summer. Over 10,000 festival-goers and VW enthusiasts descended on VW Whitenoise in 2012 and the show received glowing reviews including from the world’s best-selling VW Camper Magazine*, VW Camper and Bus, reviewing it as ‘a must do show’ imploring those ‘(who’ve) never been to put it in their diary for 2013.’
We’ve steadily gained our place in the hearts of music lovers too promoting and supporting promising new bands and artists for over a decade. While sadly other local shows and festivals, such as PlayFest, have been hit by slowing sales VW Whitenoise have kept their ticket prices low, just £30 for a whole weekend including 2 nights camping, and gained a large family following due to numerous free children’s activities.
The 2013 line-up is all booked and includes over 36 bands. Local favourites Killamonjambo, Solko, The Piratones, Lee Vann, The Tracks and Dumbfoundus combined with top tributes Kings of Leon and The Police and new music from across the UK.
Advance tickets sales for 2013 are already up on 2012. Options like electric hook-up and the high quality brick built loos and showers, along with quirky extras like a free Super Funk roller disco and live graffiti enticing bookings. Advance camping tickets have been capped at 6000 to retain the friendly feel and there’s glamping options too with a VIP Bell Tent village on site.
Louise Wilkinson, marketing manager at the Norfolk Showground said: “We welcomed the VW Whitenoise Festival to the Showground for the first time in 2012. It was a lovely family event which attracted enthusiasts from all over the country. We’re delighted that the 2013 event will once again be held at the Showground, complimenting our summer programme of family entertainment.’’
Neil Haughey, VW Whitenoise event organiser, added: “We’ve secured excellent support from local businesses with main show sponsorship from the Vindis Group this year and zone sponsors Wilco Direct and Alan Boswell Insurance Brokers, specialists in self drive hire insurance, on board too.”
Weekend family tickets cost just £65 and adult tickets £30 and include two nights free camping. You’re allowed to park your vehicle alongside your tent. Well-behaved dogs are welcome. Day tickets are available on the gate and cost £10 per adult and £3 per child. Buy on here now!

A rave review in the 62nd edition of VW Camper & Commercial proves the success of VW Whitenoise’s new venue, the Norfolk Showground. TRIBUTE TREAT AS KAZABIAN AND ANTARCTIC MONKEYS APPEAR AT SHOWGROUND
An exciting addition to VW Whitenoise, afestival dedicated to Volkswagens and top live music, in the form of two Top UK tribute acts is making the event a ‘must visit’ for the weekend ahead.
It will be the first time tribute act Kazabian have performed in Norfolk and they’re travelling down from Hull for the gig on Saturday 4th August at the Norfolk Showground. They are fully endorsed by the real band, Kasabian, with lead singer Tom Meighan more than happy for them to perform their material where they can’t. ‘They make venues crumble where we ain’t got time to,’ he says.
The event also includes:
- Prestigious VW show and shine
- FREE Kids’ Craft Tent ,bouncy campervan, disco and FunForce entertainers

Cheaper advance ticket sales for VW Whitenoise closed at midnight on 16th July 2012. Day and Weekend tickets will be available on the gate throughout the weekend. Pre-booked sales have exploded beating all records for the last two years at Fritton Lake.

Norfolk Showground announce the arrival of our ‘Big 10’ Celebrations
VW Whitenoise, Norfolk’s original VW and Music Festival, dedicated to Volkswagens and top live music, has secured the Norfolk Showground as the venue for its 10th anniversary celebrations from 3rd-5th August 2012. The event attracts over 8,000 festival-goers to the county from across the UK.
The event was established in 2002 by Norwich couple Neil, 40 years, and Lucy, 35, Haughey and held its first summer show a decade ago at Wroxham Football Club attracting a few hundred visitors. It has since outgrown all its venues including North Walsham Rugby Club, Wolterton Hall and most recently Fritton Lake.
The showground is the logical next step for the event and a venue Whitenoise is keen to call home for years to come.
Louise Wilkinson, Business Development Manager at the Norfolk Showground said: “We are delighted that VW Whitenoise has chosen the Norfolk Showground for their event this year and hopefully many more years to come. It’s a lovely family event and everyone will enjoy the colourful array of campervans as well as entertainment on site. The Norfolk Showground is the ideal venue for this event due to our central location, ample parking and the infra structure we have on site including electricity, water and shower and toilet blocks. I wish Neil and Lucy a very successful event. It has been a delight to work with such committed enthusiasts.’’
VW Whitenoise organiser and campervan owner Neil Haughey said: “We started the festival before social media was the ‘word of mouth’ phenomena it is now which makes it a lot easier to spread the word and promote festivals.
Establishing East Anglia’s original VW and Music Festival is something we are really proud of; something we quite simply launched because we love campervans and there was nothing else going on in the region. We’re proud of the loyal following of attendees and families we’ve built up.
Due to demand, as the VW and camping scene really has exploded over the last few years, we launched our tickets sales back in December. We’ve also got another couple of Whitenoise firsts for 2012 –we’re hosting our first wedding reception and have a FREE roller skating rink for all visitors too!”
